Abba chosen for US Rock and Roll hall of Fame honour
Abba are to enter the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with four other acts including UK prog-rockers Genesis. The Stooges, Jimmy Cliff and The Hollies will also be inducted in a ceremony in New York on 15 March.
The performers were chosen from a long list announced earlier this year, which had included the Red Hot Chili Peppers and rock band Kiss.Unfortunatly it is unlikely that Swedish band Abba, who disbanded in 1983, will stage a reunion performance for the event.
The Pussycat Dolls are getting new members.
The girl band have been surrounded by rumours they are splitting, but choreographer Robin Antin -
who founded the group in its first performance as a dance troupe in 1995 – insists they are
continuing but with fresh faces joining lead singer Nicole Scherzinger.

Celebrity Big Brother 7 eye unveiled
The logo for the final series of Celebrity Big Brother has been unveiled.
The seventh celebrity series has been given the subtitle ‘Hell Lies In Others’ and its logo features a real human eye with flames coming out from the pupil and eyelids.
It is the first time that the Big Brother logo has been based around a real eye since series one, when it was a close-up of housemate Melanie Hill.
Celebrity Big Brother kicks off on Sunday, January 3 at 9pm on Channel 4.

The schools out gang were back again on Friday night (4/12/09) for there second episode of schools out. We had a great laugh in the studio this week with all our gadgets and our random chat, and from all the emails we got our listeners loved the show as much as us presenters.
Well lets start with our gadgets, this week they was all rather comical, Well they at least made us laugh. If you missed the show this week here’s a reminder of what our gadgets was:
Sam – Self defence sunglasses. Imagine this, you’re at the beach then a volley ball or a stone or Evan a foot accidentally smashes your glasses. If you was unfortunate enough to have this happen to you, then you would just throw them in the bin and buy a new pair. Well to be honest i totally agree, said Ryan. Its the worst song ever made by lady gaga and this one seriously has to be the worst.
well that was Ryan’s views, however Tyler West from Tilbury emailed us in the studio and said ” don’t dis’s Lady Gaga i think she is great and so is her new song Bad Romance”
Rhianna has opened up about her admiration for her idols as a young girl.In an interview with Rolling Stone, the pop star mentioned music icons Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston,Celine Dion and Shania Twain as her sources of inspiration.
The 21-year-old said: “I used to listen to all the divas. ’Vision Of Love’ is my favourite Mariah Carey song, but they just all seemed so powerful. I remember just watching the videos, and that’s what really sold me.”
TV news is also one of our favourite topics as I’m a celebrity comes to a end and X-Factor is also drawing to a end.
Stacey Solomon has revealed that she doesn’t mind being the last female X Factor contestant. The hopeful also claims that the rumours that she is dating fellow contestant Olly Murs are not true.
“I love Olly, he’s my best mate in the house,” she explained. “

Gino was crowned winner of I’m a celebrity get me out of here 2009 with Jimmy coming 3rd and Kim runner up with second place. As Ken Barlow’s meddling mother-in-law, Blanche Hunt ruled the roost on Coronation Street for a decade.
But on Thursday fans were in mourning after it was announced that Maggie Jones, the actress who played
Blanche,sadly had died aged 75.
The widow had been making a slow recovery from a prolonged illness,
but passed away in her sleep at the Salford Royal Hospital after her condition deteriorated Thursday morning

Well the show was a blast and went down well.
One thing that caught the crew’s eye this week is rap-star Eminem claims he is a massive fan of the x-factor and should be a judge. Should he be a judge on the x-factor? Liam Sheehy from Vange doesn’t seem to think so. Here is what he said:
